Presidents Message
Sage words for a new year.
To all members:
Dear Fellow Members,
I hope each of you enjoyed the holidays and the
many activities that took place at the Club.
My thanks go to the following people who came out
and worked hard on our “clean up” day, Sat., Dec. 10: Norris
Diefenderfer, Bob Stoner, Bill Kauffman, Sr., Bill Kauffman, Jr., Bob
Seward, Dave Collins, Bill Walker, Wayne Williams, John Yesacavage, Pat
Leap, Fred Detrow, Chris Turner, Gary Turner, Jim Pell, Ron Blitz and
Joe Hellane. I extend an extra special thank you to Bob Stoner and John
Yesacavage for providing equipment to make this hard work easier for all
of us. While much more work remains to be done, the efforts put forth on
Dec. 10 make a huge difference in the farm property appearance as we
prepare it for sale. It was so gratifying to see all of these members
pitching in to help out the Club. Another work day will be scheduled in
January, if the weather cooperates. It would be wonderful to see some
additional members come out and pitch in. Please watch the NARGC
“Happenings” for the date and time.
Thanks also go to the members who gathered right
after Thanksgiving to decorate and to give the Club a festive holiday
look. Our thanks are extended to all who donated decorations. Tammy
Magaha and the Ladies Auxiliary deserve a hardy round of applause for
the excellent job they did in handling our membership recognition “Egg
Nog Sunday.” If you weren’t here, you missed a great club activity.
Kudos goes to the Ladies Auxiliary for a year of hard work and
fundraising. Their efforts provided additional and much-needed financial
support for the Club. The past year has been a year of wonderful
cooperation between the Board of Directors, the Ladies Auxiliary and our
members. My personal appreciation goes to all of you.
Please check our Newsletter, the club website and
NARGC “Happenings” for the full calendar of upcoming events. May 2012 be
a great year for you and yours and NARGC!
Ted Shaw,
President
